Veronica has compiled the latest Red Leicester newsletter, with lots of information about past and future choir events and details of singing workshops and performances in the local area. It’s available to download here.

Red Leicester were proud to stand up against the racist EDL this weekend as they visited Leicester. Members of the choir attended and sang at both the counter-protest on Saturday (organised by the UAF) and the council-organised We Are One Leicester event on Sunday.

Saturday’s counter-protest was peaceful and important, and it was fantastic to see thousands of people in the centre of Leicester on Sunday, celebrating the diversity and unity of our city. As Billy Bragg said yesterday to a massive crowd of Leicester people, the only way the world changes is by ordinary people doing something about it.
