Leicester Sing for Water

Red Leicester joined a whole host of other choirs from the area on Sunday the 8th of June to attend the first Leicester Sing for Water event.

After an inspirational mass rehearsal in the morning, we all filed in front of the stage (there wasn’t enough room on it!) at Bede Park to sing six songs together. Red Leicester also performed a song by themselves, as did Leicester Amika Choir. The event was a great success and gathered a big crowd (who gave over £500 in donations in less than an hour).

There are plans to hold the event at the Riverside festival again next year – until then, look at our photos of the performance.

Warwick Community Choirs Festival

Members of Red Leicester attended this festival on Saturday the 19th of April, and enjoyed taking part in a day of singing workshops with members of many other choirs from the Midlands and beyond. They had a short performance slot in the evening, which was slightly nerve-wracking considering only 9 members were on stage, performing to several hundred people, but enjoyable!

Photos of us on stage are available on our flickr photostream.
