Monthly Archives: September 2009

Thanks!

Thank you to all the new (and old!) members who attended last week’s New Members’ Evening. We had a brilliant turnout, and enjoyed seeing lots of new faces. Hopefully we’ll see you again this Wednesday.

If you couldn’t make it, don’t forget that we welcome new members at any time throughout the year. If you feel like coming along, just come to the Secular Hall any Wednesday in term time at 7.30pm and give us a try.

September newsletter

The September 2009 newsletter for Red Leicester choir is now available. Many thanks to Veronica for her hard work!

New Members’ Evening tonight

Tonight, Wednesday the 23rd of September, Red Leicester Choir will be hosting a New Members’ Evening – this is your chance to come along and hear us sing, learn a song or two, and meet our members. We are an open-access, no auditions choir, and would love to see you there.

Wednesday 23rd September, 7.30-9.30pm
At the Secular Hall, Humberstone Gate

New term!

We’re all back at choir and refreshed after a long summer holiday, and working on new material for the upcoming Raise Your Banners Festival of Political Song 2009, being held in Bradford on the 6th-8th November. Red Leicester will be performing in the Saturday afternoon concert at Bradford Cathedral, along with a number of other choirs. The concert starts at 1pm on Saturday the 7th of November, and tickets are £5. See the RYB website for more details of the weekend (which looks to be very exciting, including a Leon Rosselson concert!).
